Destination Salvador, capital of the state of Bahia.
Olivença Beach (BA). Images of marine life in tiny water pools in reefs at low tide.
Marine life
Usually you see marine life on the beach only when it is lifeless and washed by the rolling water. Their shell skeletons, carcasses, scissors and stars. At Olivença Beach, close to the sea, there was a small, shallow pool between the reefs. To our pleasant surprise it was rich in marine life. An impression:
Isolated from the sea, but inundated
again later that day by high tide.
A solitary fish, locked temporarily…
followed by its shadow.
tentacles of a lobster.
And a crab of similar size.
