Centro de Arte Contemporânea Inhotim is a contemporary art museum and botanical garden in Brumadinho, at about 60 km from Belo Horizonte, capital of the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais. Inhotim was founded by a former mining magnate Bernardo Paz. The creation of the botanical garden annex museum was started in the 1980s, with additional advise from the well-known landscape architect Roberto Burle Marx.
The museum houses 11 galleries and more than 500 works from Brazilian and international artists. The park is almost 800 hectares, of which almost 100 hectares is open for visitors. In 2012, the park welcomed more than 250 thousand visitors.
