Images of our final Festa Bumba-meu-Boi night in São Luís.
Our penultimate day in São Luís was full of activities: Visit of the local market (Mercado Central), followed by a quick visit through the historical center of São Luís. In a rainy afternoon, São José de Ribamar was visited. At night, we enjoyed presentations of the Festa Bumba-meu-Boi folklore, followed by reggae music until dawn…
During the months of June and July, large-scale events are organized in São Luís. Almost every Thursday night through Sunday night, tourist may enjoy folkloric dance and music at Festa Bumba-meu-Boi. All participants demonstrate enthusiasm and happiness; the spectators pick up the happy mood and atmosphere. One big party for everyone.
