Dia do Revendedor
(Sales representative, dealer) A very old profession. Centuries ago, sales representatives traveled from city to city, from farm to farm, to sell their merchandise. Even now there are traveling sales representatives, and representatives that possess their own company or store.
Dia Mundial do Refugiado
(Word Refugee Day). This day is introduced by the General Assembly of the United Nations in 200. The day is chosen to coincide with the African Refugee Day. At present the UNHCR (United Nations Human Rights Commission) is focusing on more than twenty million refugees. Theme for 2012 is:
“Refugees have no choice. You do”.
“We must work together to mobilize the political will and leadership to prevent and end the conflicts that trigger refugee flows. […] Despite budget constraints everywhere, we must not turn away from those in need. Refugees leave because they have no choice. We must choose to help.”
Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon
