Birth of Brazilian-American student and teacher Stuart Angel Jones, son of Zuzu Angel
Stuart participated in the armed resistance (MR-8) against the dictatorship and was captured in 1971. He was reportedly tortured, and according to a witness, had died after his mouth was attached to a jeep’s exhaust pipe and dragged over the courtyard subsequently. His mother Zuzu died, under suspicious circumstances, in a car crash in 1976.
