O Milagre das Folhas
Não, nunca me acontecem milagres.

Cândido Portinari The theme for this year is
“Por Ti, Portinari, Rompendo a Tela, a Realidade“. For you, (Cândido) Portinari, tearing the canvas, the Reality
Mocidade commemorates that Brazilian artist Cândido Portinari died fifty years ago, at the age of 58. At the age of fourteen, he started as an assistant for a group of Italian painters and sculptors that were restoring a church in his native city. Soon his talent was discovered, and through the years, Cândido gained international reputation as a painter. His passion of painting also led to his death. since he died because of the long-term exposure to lead compounds in the paint that was using. The school demonstrates an overview of his life and works.
